Microsoft MFA tokens are a physical device that generates a code for users so that they may get through multi-factor authentication while enrolled in Microsoft MFA. This device is meant for users who do not have a phone or smart device that they can use for authentication. Exceptions may be made depending on the requesting user's case.
Must be enrolled in Microsoft MFA. If you have not already enrolled, please follow directions on our MFA First Time Setup page.
Faculty/staff: All may request
Current/future term students: Depending on demonstrated need
Alumni/retirees: Not available
Guests: Requests can be made by their sponsor and a decision will be made based on business need.
To request a token for use, please submit a ticket on this page by selecting "Request Hardware Token" and fill out all information requested. Hardware tokens are $20 per token (inter-office charge)
Allows you to complete multi-factor authentication without a phone.
Protects your NEOMED account from hackers, because a log-in requires both a correct password and access to your hardware token for authentication.
