Introduction
These instructions are for NEOMED users who want to access Microsoft Teams through a University-issued or personally-owned device. This can be done through various methods:
Windows – University-issued Computers
This set of instructions assumes that you are using a NEOMED-issued, university domain joined computer.
If you have a Windows computer that is issued by NEOMED IT, you will already have the Microsoft Teams application installed. If you do not, please submit a ticket with the NEOMED Help Desk.
- When the installation of Teams has finished, click the Windows/Start Menu button
and search for Teams.
- Click on the Microsoft Teams app/icon.
- This will open Teams and you will be prompted to login with your NEOMED credentials.
- In the text box that says Sign-in address enter your NEOMED email and click Sign in.
- Enter your password in the new window that appears and click Sign in.
- Confirm your identity via your registered multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.
- You should now be signed into Teams.
Windows – Personally-owned Computers
- Download the installer from: https://teams.microsoft.com/download
- When the download completes, launch the installer, and follow the installation prompts using the default settings.
- When the installation of Teams has finished, click the Windows/Start Menu button and search for Teams.
- Click on the Microsoft Teams app/icon.
- This will open Teams and you will be prompted to login with your NEOMED credentials.
- In the text box that says Sign-in address enter your NEOMED email and click Sign in.
- Enter your password in the new window that appears and click Sign in.
- Confirm your identity via your registered multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.
- You should now be signed into Teams.
macOS – University-issued Computers
This set of instructions assumes that you are using a NEOMED-issued, university domain joined computer.
If you have a Mac that is issued by NEOMED IT, you will already have the Microsoft Teams application installed. Below are instructions on how to open Teams.
- Open Microsoft Teams from your Applications folder, or by searching “Teams” in spotlight search.
- This will open Teams and you will be prompted to login with your NEOMED credentials.
- In the text box that says Sign-in address enter your NEOMED email and click Sign in.
- Enter your password in the new window that appears and click Sign in.
- Confirm your identity via your registered multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.
- You should now be signed into Teams.
macOS – Personally-owned computers
- Download the installer from: https://teams.microsoft.com/download
- When the download completes, launch the installer, and follow the installation prompts using the default settings.

- Install Microsoft Teams from the Apple App Store.
- Once installed, open the Teams app on your mobile device.
- Tap Sign in, enter your NEOMED email address, then tap Sign in again.
- Enter your password in the new window that appears and click Sign in.
- Confirm your identity via your registered multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.
- You should now be signed into Teams.
- Install Microsoft Teams from the Google Play Store.
- Once installed, open the Teams app on your mobile device.
- Tap Sign in, enter your NEOMED email address, then tap Sign in again.
- Enter your password in the new window that appears and click Sign in.
- Confirm your identity via your registered multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.
- You should now be signed into Teams.
- Go to https://teams.microsoft.com.
- If you are already signed into Microsoft 365, you will go directly to Microsoft Teams.
- Enter your NEOMED email address and password when prompted.
- Confirm your identity via your registered multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.
- You should now be signed into Teams.
