A new feature in Excel has caused the import of Banner IDs from a .csv file into Excel to remove the @ symbol and all leading zeroes behind it. In order to preserve the entire Banner ID the following steps should be followed. (**Depending on your version of Excel, the options and wording may be slightly different)
1. Don't open the file directly in Excel by double clicking it or launching directly from Argos. In Argos click the Save symbol and save the file.
2. Open Excel manually by typing Excel in your search box on your computer.
3. Choose Blank workbook.
4. Click on Data in the top ribbon.
5. Choose From Text/CSV or click on the Get Data dropdown, From File, From Text/CSV.
6. Choose the csv fle you want to open and click Import.
7. Click Load at the bottom of the preview.
8. Your sheet should load in Table Design mode - you can click to turn off Banded Rows and Header Row to remove the formatting.
9. If you still experience issues, close Excel without saving the file, rename the file to .txt and repeat steps 2-8
