Installing Power BI Desktop from the Microsoft Store

  1. Access the Microsoft Store: Click on the 'Start' menu, type 'Microsoft Store' in the search bar, and click on the Microsoft Store app to open it.
  2. Search for Power BI Desktop: Once in the Microsoft Store, navigate to the search bar at the top center corner of the window. Type in 'Power BI Desktop', then press 'Enter' on your keyboard.
  3. Select Power BI Desktop: From the search results, locate and select 'Power BI Desktop'.
  4. Install Power BI Desktop: On the Power BI Desktop product page, click on the 'Get' button. The installation of Power BI Desktop will start automatically. Please wait for the installation to complete; this may take a few minutes depending on your Internet speed.
  5. Open Power BI Desktop: Once the installation is complete, you can open Power BI Desktop. To do this, click on the 'Start' menu, type 'Power BI Desktop' in the search bar, and click on the app to open it.

Logging into Power BI Desktop

  1. Start Power BI Desktop: Open the Power BI Desktop application from your 'Start' menu or from your desktop if you created a shortcut during installation.
  2. Log in: In the Power BI Desktop window, look for the 'Sign In' button usually located in the top right corner. Click on it.
  3. If prompted, enter your credentials: In the log in window, enter your NEOMED credentials – your NEOMED email address and password – then click on 'Sign In'.
