Banner Self Service - Transition to Version 9 for Employees

Employee Self Service

The University will be transitioning from Banner Self Service Version 8 to Banner Self Service Version 9.

  • A new Employee Self Service Dashboard will launch February 1, along with a new menu to access all Banner applications.
  • A new version of time sheets will follow in the spring/summer.
  • Future phases of the Banner Self Service 9 rollout include:
    • Fall: Student Self Service, which includes new Financial Aid capabilities
    • TBD: Finance Self Service, Faculty Self Service, Registration

Employee Dashboard

Banner Employee Self Service is where Faculty, Staff, and Student Employees go to submit and approve time sheets, view or edit their benefits, view pay and job information, and more.

What’s new in Banner Employee Self Service? 
A newly consolidated, easy-to-use Employee Dashboard makes key personnel information readily available. This is where employees will access their personal, employment, and job-related information. See below for a comparison of the current self service and the new version.

As part of this transition, a new NEOMED Banner Application Menu ( will be available that will contain links to all Banner-related resources, including links to self service and direct links to frequently used things such as time sheets and effort reporting.
