Disable Sync Center (Offline Files) - to fix issues with accessing shared drive folders

If someone is having issues accessing folders or files from the shared drive - and they are properly connected via VPN (and normally able to access the folders or files), confirm that Sync Center (Offline Files) is disabled.

  1. Open the Control Panel (All Items view) and click on the Sync Center icon.

 

  1. In the left pane, click on the Manage offline files link.

 

  1. Click on the Disable offline files button.

 

  1. If prompted by UAC (User Account Control), then click on Yes.
  2. Click on OK.
  3. Click on Yes to restart the computer.
