Setting up the Library Printers - Students with Windows Computers

**You must be on campus in order to go through these steps**

On Windows 7: From Control Panel or your Start Menu, select Devices and Printers, then Add a Printer

On Windows 8:

  •          Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.

(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)

  •          Tap or click PC and devices
  •          Tap or click Add a device

On Windows 10: From the Start button, select Settings, then Devices. Select Printers & Scanners, then Add a printer or scanner.

 

From the Add Printer dialog, select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer (this only applies to Windows 7)

               

In the Select a printer dialog, click "The printer that I want isn't listed"

In the Find a printer by name or TCP/IP address dialog box, type \\ps1\Follow-You

Click Next

 

 

You should be prompted to provide a username and password:

·         Username = neoucom\your Office 365 username

·         Password = your Office 365/Active Directory password (If you are a new student and you haven't changed your default password, it is: nmmddyyyy! – where mmddyyyy is your birthdate)

·         Leave Remember my password checked

Click Ok

Change the printer name if you wish, then click Next. (Windows 7 only)

Click to set this as your default printer, then click Finish. (Windows 7 only)

 

 

Note: If you want to print to the printer located in the Quiet Area, add \\ps1\Printer75 to your machine following the steps listed above.
 

If you are a returning student and you had Equitrac installed for the old Xerox machines, you can uninstall it - it is no longer required in order to print from a Windows computer.
