Method 1: Using the Apple Menu (Easiest)
- Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen.
- Select About This Mac.
- A window will open displaying:
- The macOS name (for example, macOS Sonoma, Ventura, or Sequoia).
- The version number.

- Click the Apple menu.
- Select System Settings.
- Click General in the sidebar.
- Select About.
- View the macOS version information.
